Looking for opinion on one day trip to magic kingdom with 6 month old baby the day after christmas 2016. If I utilize all of the pre planning tools available to me will it be worth it, or will the crowds just be too overwhelming?

    Hi, Amanda!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Our family has visited Walt Disney World Resort during the days between Christmas and New Year's Eve many times. The number of guests who visit Magic Kingdom Park can be a bit overwhelming. If you arrive as early as you can the morning of December 26th, you will be able to enjoy at least a couple of hours in the park before it starts feeling crowded. By the end of the day, it will be packed.

Visiting the crowded park with a six-month-old may be challenging. If the baby is great at napping in a stroller or a baby carrier, you may not have any problems. You'll certainly find sweet spots all over the park to take pictures in between naps!

If you arrive early, schedule some FastPass+ reservations, and have adults who can swap to hold the baby while you ride attractions, you will probably get to soak in a fabulous but crowded day at the park. I would also recommend looking for at least one table service meal to give you a little time away from the crowds and a place to sit and rest. If you're lucky, you might be able to schedule it around nap time so the baby can rest! Also, be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Center. It's a great spot for diaper changes and feedings.

I hope those tips help give you a few more insights before you decide to visit or not! Either way, soak in every baby moment you can! I look at my tween and teen and can't believe they are so grown up!

Let me know if you have any additional Disney questions. I'm happy to help!
