Looking for ideas on how best to spend christmas day at disney.Have booked the california grill for evening meal. Just want to maximise the magic on christmas day

Greetings Maria!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  This will be my second Christmas in a row celebrated at Walt Disney World.  It is such a fun time to be there!

Christmas Day is very busy.  Last year, we planned to be at Magic Kingdom all day and in all honesty, it got a little overwhelming.  I suggest waking up early and taking advantage of the Extra Magic Hours (if you are staying on property) at Magic Kingdom.  We were able to get some family pictures in front of Cinderella Castle without anyone in the background.  We brought some silly Christmas tree sunglasses and fun holiday hats for our pictures and they turned out so cute.  We were also able to ride a few of our favorite attractions before the park started to get busy.  I suggest making your FastPass+ selections for the late morning/early afternoon.  I plan on making ours right after lunch so we can ride a few more rides and then head back to the resort.  By 1pm. last year, the park was very crowded.  This time we all agreed we would like going to go back to the resort to rest and freshen better than toughing it out all day.  After our evening meal, the plan is to head back to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks.

Even though Magic Kingdom is so busy on Christmas Day, there is no place I would rather be.  We had the best Christmas being there last year and I cannot wait to go again.  I hope this helps you plan for your Christmas Day at Walt Disney World.  If you have any other questions, I'd love to help you.  If I don't talk to you again, all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel wish you a very Merry Christmas!
