Mom And Daughter Resort Room

We are looking to go to Walt Disney World in either June or July with our 2 year old son and our 1 year old daughter. I'll also be around 4 months pregnant. Which month would be better? What rides can my little ones ride? Any other tips would be great!

    Hi Kayla,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

First, I would recommend visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in June rather than July because it tends to be slightly less busy, especially if you go in early June before any schools begin their summer vacation. I went in mid-June when I was 5 1/2 months pregnant a few years ago and, while the weather was warm, I was never uncomfortable.

Second, this handy #DisneyKids post over at the Disney Parks Blog gives you clear information about the height requirements for almost all of the attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort’s Theme Parks. If an attraction says that it can be experienced by Guests of “any height”, then you’ll all be able to experience it together! I also found that the attractions that were available to everyone were also the ones that were least likely to have restrictions for pregnant women.

Another great resource is the Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones page. There, you’ll find all kinds of tips and tricks for enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort with your little ones!

Finally, considering how warm it can get in the middle of the day (for both you and your toddlers), I would recommend working a midday break back at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel into your plans. Not only will this allow your kids to have a proper nap time, but it will allow you to relax and unwind during the hottest part of the day. I started taking a midday break during my trips to the Walt Disney World Resort during my first pregnancy, and I'm happy to say that it's a restful tradition that I've upheld ever since, especially when travelling with a little one!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
