We are looking to go to Disney in May of 2018. How far in advance can we book our hotel rooms? Can we book our room, tickets and dining plan now even though it's for next year?

    Hi Christie,

Glad to know you are already planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort for 2018. Me too! So let me help you with some ideas and tips.

You can actually make room reservations up to 500 days in advance. You will not be able to do it online until prices for room and packages are released later this year (typically around June). However, you can reserve a room by speaking to a vacation planning specialist at (407) 939-1936, or a travel agent.

In order to add a Disney Dining Plan, you will need to book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, so you may want to wait until those options come out. Also, remember that packages include Theme Park Tickets. Keep on the lookout for announcements, and then maybe a Special Offer will help you save some Disney Dollars.

One last tip: dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. So start narrowing down your choices in the meantime by visiting the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page. So many favorites, but one that tops the list is Teppan Edo. Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and happy planning!
