I am looking into getting the Quick Service Dining Plan with my husband and two daughters (ages 6 and 2). I know it includes two quick service meals and one snack per day but what about the third meal of the day, do you just pay for that meal?

Hi Andrew, The short answer to your question is yes, if you're on the Disney Dining Plan and you'd like to have additional food, you simply purchase it. You can do this with cash, credit or debit card, room charge, travelers check, Disney gift card or Disney dollars. The longer answer to your question is, depending on your appetite, you may not need any additional food. Disney defines "snack" quite broadly. Many breakfast-type items such as muffins, bagels, whole fruit, and cold cereal count as snacks. If you're OK with having these small items as breakfast, then you're completely covered with the quick service dining plan. Again, depending on your appetite, you many find that the quick service entrees are large. My husband and I frequently share a quick service sandwich as our meal. If you eat them entirely on your own, you might find the quick service meals are so filling that you only need two of them per day. Also remember that all quick service lunches and dinners come with a dessert item. You are welcome to save the dessert and eat it later as a snack to spread out your calories. And some desserts, like carrot cake, could easily be saved and used for breakfast the next day. But as I said above, you are always welcome to purchase more food. A nice thing to do might be to have a special table service meal or two during your trip, perhaps a character dining experience with your girls' favorite characters. One other thing to think about is that since your youngest is two, she doesn't qualify for the dining plan. She can eat food from your plate or you can buy her food separately. Good luck with your planning!
