Looking for a fun restaurant for a nonpark day for dd11 birthday. Used to fun character meals at WDW, but have never done sit down at DL (this will be 2nd trip). Prefer one other than breakfast if available. Are there meal plans at DL?

    Hi there Jenni,

I'm so thrilled about your upcoming vacation to the Disneyland Resort. You are sure to have a magical time celebrating a birthday with the big cheese himself.

Be sure to stop by Guest Services and get a free Birthday button to wear during your trip; Cast Members that see the button in the parks will be sure to send warm wishes throughout the day.

The Character Dining experiences are a great way to meet with your favorite Disney Characters! The Characters stop by your table to sign autographs, have a chat, and make special memories with your family! One of our family favorites is Goofy's Kitchen located in the Disneyland Hotel. You have the choice of breakfast or dinner while Goofy's friends make a special visit at each table. It’s an experience you will always remember.

You can also sprinkle some more pixie dust on the big day by ordering a personalized birthday cake if you're dining at select table service restaurants. Call the Disney cake hotline at (714) 781-3463 to order one, they will need at least 72 hours notice prior to your magical date needed.

At this time, the Disneyland Resort is not offering multi-day Meal Plans for 2014 vacation packages.

Reservations are recommended as Character Dining is high in demand, call (714) 781-DINE to ensure your party has a table.

If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your pixie-dusted vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
