We are looking forward to our 2nd trip in Oct, 2010. My question is - My husband and I have 2 children, but he has invited an adult friend along with us. Would Port Orleans be sufficient for us if we use the trundle bed? Thanks for all your information!

Well, the answer to this question depends on how close a friend this is, but honestly, I wouldn't want my family of 4 to share a room at Port Orleans with even the closest of my friends. The rooms at Port Orleans are approximately 314 square feet, and although the rooms with the trundle bed sleep 5, it could be close quarters for three adults and two children. The trundle beds are only 54 inches long and are designed for a child rather than an adult, which would mean one of your children would be in the trundle and the other child would have to share a double bed with you, your husband, or the other adult.  This arrangement might work for some families, but if it isn't what you had in mind, you might want to consider a different resort.

The Cabin's at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort could fit your needs. The cabins are approximately 504 square feet and have a bedroom with bunk beds and a double bed as well as a separate living room with a Murphy bed. You'd even have a small kitchen and a patio outside.  Having the separate bedroom would give you all more privacy, and the living room and patio would give everyone more room to stretch out.  Plus, the Fort Wilderness Resort has fun activities like pony rides and a marshmallow roast with Chip and Dale!

Hope you all have a magical vacation!
