Looking forward to our family trip to the magical place in July 2015. We booked a package deal with our travel agent and nothing was mention about Fast Pass. What is it and is it to late to choose ours. We are arriving July 20th.

    Hi Carlotta,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! FastPass+ is an electronic system used in conjunction with My Disney Experience (both on your desktop computer and on your smartphone through a free app) to help you use a shorter queue to experience certain attractions in the theme parks. There are two queues for most attractions at the Walt Disney World theme parks-a Stand By queue, which anyone can enter if you choose to wait for the length of time posted to experience an attraction. The wait time is posted at the queues and is updated periodically. The second queue is the FastPass+ queue-it is shorter and is reserved ahead of time using My Disney Experience; a limited number of places are allotted for a certain time period for that attraction. Once all of the allotted places are all reserved for the day, no more FastPasses are allowed. This queue is generally shorter than the Stand By line because you have essentially reserved your place in line ahead of time.

The system is great because if you know your little ones really want to ride a specific attraction, you can make a reservation and go to the attraction at your appointed time. I would recommend going online NOW and making those reservations! The sooner the better to ensure the choices you want are still available!

Carlotta, I hope you and your family have a great time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Please come back and see us if you have any additional questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
