Hi! We are looking forward to experiencing Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland! Can you please clarify how rider switch will work with the boarding pass system? We will have 4 adults and 2 young children. Thanks!

    Bright Suns Lori!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ve come to the right place and I have just the answer you’re looking for.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is now accepting guests to team up with the Resistance for a climactic battle against the First Order. It is an attraction like you’ve never experienced before and I’ll tell you first hand, it will knock your space boots off. You’ll be happy to hear that Rider Switch is available for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. But before you can get a Rider Switch Pass, everyone planning to ride the attraction will need a Boarding Pass. It’s extremely important that you enter Disneyland Park before official opening time to secure a Boarding Pass. Once your group number is called to ride, you can head over to the attraction. Turn notifications on for the Disneyland Mobile App to be alerted of when your group is called. There will also be signage around the park with the current boarding group. When you get to the attraction queue, check in with a Cast Member. They will scan up to three people that will be doing the Rider Switch. When the first group is finished, you can meet them back at the front of the attraction queue and the second group will scan their tickets to enter. The Cast Members will send the second group through the FASTPASS line, or what will become the FASTPASS line in the future as there are currently no Disney FASTPASS selections for this attraction.

After the second group is finished, make sure that everyone high fives each other to celebrate the completion of the mission. Then head on over to to the Milk Stand for some green or blue milk to cool down from the excitement. Be sure to stop by the Toydarian Toymaker and the Creature Stall to take home a handcrafted toy or an exotic creature or critter from around the galaxy.

Well Lori, I hope your journey to Planet Batuu is out of this world.

    ‘Til the Spire,
