Little Princess in the Park

We have been looking forward to dining at Ariel's Grotto in January, however we recently learned it will be closed. Is there a different restaurant they will be having more princesses at so we can still enjoy princess dining (more than one princess)?

Hello, Kaylin! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

Ariel's Grotto is a favorite of my little princess, so I understand your desire to dine there for your upcoming trip this January. You are correct, though, that Ariel's Grotto will close on January 8, 2018, to be transitioned into a new dining option as part of the Pixar Pier transformation happening next winter and spring. At this time, they have not announced a new place to dine with the princesses at the Disneyland Resort. I really hope they have plans to introduce a new character dining experience soon, so keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements as your travel dates approach.

Keep in mind that there are still a multitude of princesses to meet at both parks. Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire should definitely be high on your must-do list as you can meet up to three princesses here. Plus, other princesses like Rapunzel and Jasmine often meet in the courtyard right outside Royal Hall. Moana can be found in Adventureland and Tiana regularly meets by the Mark Twain Riverboat dock. And, of course, Anna and Elsa are still located in Disney California Adventure Park. Check the Disneyland app when you are in the parks for exact times and locations to meet all your favorite characters.

I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is full of magic and memories!
