We are looking for a Disney "wow factor" experience for our first visit with our 10, almost 11 year old daughter. We've gotten overwhelmed with all the information and kindly ask for some help. Treehouse Villas, etc. 4 day stay, healthy budget.

    Hello Barry,

Congratulations on planning your first family trip to Disney! We here at the Moms Panel are happy to help.

One of my favorite resorts is the BoardWalk Inn. But having a tween on your hands, I might suggest a one bedroom at the BoardWalk Villas for your family. It will give your daughter some space for when your family decides to rest back at the room. The BoardWalk is a great location. You have several fantastic restaurants all within walking distance of the resort. You can even walk to Epcot or Hollywood Studios if you choose. At night, the BoardWalk comes to life with music and entertainers. I think your daughter will love it.

If your daughter likes to shop, be sure to stop at TrenD in Downtown Disney. It's a posh boutique unlike any other store on property. She's sure to find a chic souvenir to bring home.

And while you're in Downtown Disney, check out Characters-in-Flight, a 360-degree view of Disney World. It'll be hard for your daughter not to say "wow!"

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
