Looking at a Disney Cruise, what are the options for Childcare for a 1 and 5 yr. old? Planning to take them but want to plan a break in the itinerary as well. Thanks!

    Hi, Faith!

Congratulations on considering a Disney Cruise Line vacation for your family!  To our family, we cherish the time we spend together and separately while on our voyage.

For your one-year-old, there are nurseries on board (Flounder's Reef -- Wonder and Magic; It's a Small World -- Dream and Fantasy). They can be booked up to 90 days in advance and charge approximately $6 per hour.

For your older child, participation in the Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab is included in your child's cruise fare. There are supervised activities as well as plenty of time and space for free play. Children can be fed meals or snacks there, and the only problem you may have is trying to get your child to join you elsewhere on the ship.

For the adults, we like to plan our time with our children by enjoying the family activities and events, but we also relax at the spa and fitness center, linger over an adult dinner or take an active shore excursion while they are being entertained and cared for in the kids' clubs. I hope I've helped you plan!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
