Hello! We're looking to do breakfast at Hollywood Studios before the park opens, but also need to sign up for Jedi training as soon as the park opens. Would we need to rush through breakfast in order to get in line for Jedi training sign ups?

    Hi Tamara,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hear that you have new recruits for Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple!

On several occasions we have dined at Hollywood & Vine prior to park opening and signed up for Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. Each time, we had an advanced dining reservation between 8:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. when the park opened at 9:00 a.m. and were able to sign up for training before actually being called back to our table. My suggestion is to clear security and enter the park 10-15 minutes prior to your dining reservation time (or, as soon as a Cast member allows you to enter). Proceed to the training sign-up location and check to see if they are open. If so, sign-up prior to checking in for your breakfast reservation.

If they are not quite ready to start sign-ups, you may want to wait a few minutes. Just be sure to check-in for your dining reservation on time. If you have to start dining prior to signing-up, know that only one parent or guardian needs to take the children to register for training and the sign-up location is quite close to the restaurant, so you could take them to sign-up while other members of your party remained at the table. Provided there is no line, it would not take that long to sign-up and then return to breakfast.

Also, be sure to check the park hours for the date of your visit and review the boarding process for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. If your young Jedi are determined to join the Resistance (and meet the height requirements), you will also need to join a boarding group as soon as the park opens. Assuming the virtual queue process remains the same, time is of the essence. On our most recent visit, we arrived prior to park opening, joined a boarding group and had breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. As we were finishing breakfast, we received notification through the My Disney Experience Mobile App that it was time for us to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance!

Tamara, our girls found the secret location of Savi's workshop on our visit and followed a Gatherer who diligently showed them how to build a lightsaber. Once they bonded with their lightsabers, they gained the confidence to join Resistance forces and stayed vigilant for the First Order during our visit. May your younglings find the Force!

    Good journey,
    Donyell
