I am looking into booking a trip to Disney World in November or December of 2011. We have a 4 yr old daughter and would like to know if it is too cold to swim during this time of the year. Also, what would be the least busiest time to go?

    Hi Kasey!
November and December are great months to vacation in Walt Disney World as long as you try to avoid Thanksgiving week and from around December 15th until the 1st week of January.  Actually, the two to three weeks in December following Thanksgiving are a great time to be in Walt Disney World!  There are usually less crowds, lower lodging costs (it is a value season), and Christmas decorations are all over the Parks and Resorts.

All of the pools in the Resorts and Water Parks have heated water so the water temperature should not be an issue for your daughter.  The thing to consider is the temperature of the air above the water.  Normally the temperature in the day is between 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit if the sun is shining and the temperature at night can usually range from 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.  It does tend to really cool down fast after the sun goes down so swimming at night might be too cold for your daughter even though the water itself is heated. I would recommend swimming in the day when the sun is shining for maximum enjoyment!

I hope that you and your family have a magical trip to Walt Disney World!
