Looking to book an Eastern Caribbean cruise for January 2014 and am trying to decide on port or starboad side. When in port we would rather look at the island than out to sea. Can you tell me which side would face the island at each of the 3 stops?

    Ahoy Tracey!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  My last sailing was a Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean sailing so I know you are in for a fantabulous week on the high seas with Captain Mickey in January!  I like to hear you are carefully considering all the details for your cruise including your room selection.  Although the ship's docking placement is always subject to change, I think you will enjoy the views from the starboard side on the Eastern itinerary.  First, when you leave Port Canaveral, you will be able to wave bon voyage to all the well wishers along the shore from the starboard side.  In St. Thomas, you should have view from both, but the pier will be along the starboard side.  In Castaway Cay, the starboard side of the ship will provide you with the stunning island views you will love!  In St. Maarten, the port side may give you the island view, but there is a chance there could be other ships blocking your views.
I hope my answer is helpful, Tracey!  If I can assist you further, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
