Looking to book my 2nd Disney Cruise, we want warm weather & lower prices. Looking at May 2018. Typically, what are the average numbers for 13year old kids traveling when school is still in? Don't want him to be the only teenager.

Welcome aboard, Darya! I like the way you think! My family and I try to book our Disney Cruise Line vacations for off times when we can get lower prices, which means more Disney fun for us!

We have sailed so many times during the regular school year, and while I don't have exact numbers of how many youth are sailing, I can tell you that there are plenty! We sailed twice this past November, and before that in February, and both times, the Youth Clubs had lots of kids to participate in the super cool activities. My daughter got to go to Edge for the first time on our last two sailings. Edge is the Tween Club for ages 11-14, where your son would hang out. In November, there were at least 15 tweens that regularly were in the club when she was, and that doesn't count all the times when others were popping in and out. We actually sailed on two back to back cruises in November, so even when her new friends from the first sailing got off the ship, and we stayed on for the second sailing, the numbers were pretty similar. There were many more than 15 tween altogether, it's just that they weren't always all in the club at the same time. So, she always felt confident heading to the club for one of the activities figuring she'd have plenty of other kids to hang out with. After getting to know each other during the ice breaker activities the first night, friendships were quickly formed, and the new buddies often planned to meet up at specific times and activities throughout the sailing. I'm sure your son will have plenty of new friends onboard and tons of fun, no matter what time of year you sail!

Have fun planning your exciting cruise, Darya!
