I am looking to book dinner reservations for my parents, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, on February. 14th. Between the Flying Fish, Artist's Point and Citricos which restaurant would you recommend?

    Tara:

Although I loved the Buffalo Sirloin and risotto at Artist's Point, I found the restaurant very loud to celebrate my 15th Anniversary last year.  Children are certainly welcome at every restaurant on Disney property but because it's located in the family-oriented Wilderness Lodge, I think the restaurant lends itself to more families than other signature restaurants do.

Flying Fish sees casual diners from the nearby Boardwalk and Epcot area and doesn't feel as upscale as my recommendation from the three you mention, Citricos.

On my trip to Disney in October, my husband and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary along with two friends, and we're still talking about the view of the grounds of the Grand Floridian from our table not to mention the meal. I thought the open kitchen would make the restaurant feel informal, but the care that the staff took to our meal, along with many diners who were dressed up for dinner, made the atmosphere grand. There were children in the main dining room, but the entire ambience was simply more special and the setting understandably more refined.

Make sure to request a window seat when making your reservation and let them know your parents are celebrating a special anniversary. If you want to see updated menus, I recommend going to www.allears.net then chosing Walt Disney World and then Dining/Resorts.

    Here's to a memorable anniversary!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
