Hello! I am looking for advice on transportation. What would be the most efficient way to get from Ohana to the horseback riding check in?

    Hi Amy,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. A meal at ‘Ohana followed by a Disney horseback riding adventure? What an amazing day you’re planning!

The most efficient way to get from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (where ‘Ohana is located) to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort’s horseback riding area is by car. If you won’t be driving your own car, I would recommend using the Minnie Van Service or taxi; the Cast Members at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be happy to assist you in calling for a Minnie Van or taxi. If you would like to take Walt Disney World transportation, I would take the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park and then catch a Disney bus to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. If you choose to do this, give yourself an hour (or maybe more – I would ask a Cast Member at your resort for advice) because of the transfer time between monorail and bus, wait times, and travel time. The horseback riding check-in is a short walk from the bus drop-off and also has a parking lot right in front.

My daughter recently went horseback riding at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and she loved her experience. The scenery was gorgeous and so peaceful, and she is still talking about what fun she had. We took the bus back to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, where the Disney horses are stabled. It was so neat to see the Disney horses (they have fabulous names!) and the wonderful Dragon Calliope, a horse-drawn musical instrument purchased by Walt Disney himself, provides a glimpse of the magic that makes Walt Disney World such a special place.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
