How long is the walk from the Fort Wilderness cabins to the boat launch? I understand it depends somewhat on where your cabin is located but I’m just looking for an idea/range. Thanks!

    Greetings to you, Stacey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad that you stopped by with a question for us!

It sounds like you are planning a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and it will be here before you know it. The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are absolutely adorable and such a fun place to stay, so I know y'all will have an amazing time there!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground spans nearly 750 acres which is quite a large area. So the time that it would take to walk to the boat launch will definitely depend on where your cabin is located. If you're just looking for an idea, then I would probably say around 20-30 minutes. It could easily be less though if you happen to be in a cabin that is closer. There is an internal bus system that runs throughout the resort and will take you to the boat launch or to the main entrance where you can catch another bus to the parks. Golf carts are available for rent at Reception Outpost and are a fun way to get around the resort too.

I hope this helps to give you an idea of what to expect on your upcoming vacation and if you think of any other questions, just let us know. We are always happy to help. Have a magical day!
