How long does the Savor the Savanna last? I see the are scheduled for 4pm and 5:15pm but is it only an hour or does it take longer?

Jambo, Becky! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

If you love Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and the Kilimanjaro Safaris as much as I do, then you're going to have a wild time on the Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience! Your tour guides will take you on a private two-hour guided safari trek through the 110-acre Harambe Wildlife Reserve. One of the reasons for the relaxed pace is to ensure no one misses the spectacular display of African animals in their habitats. The guides will stop for photo opportunities along the way and allow for the opportunity to ask questions. The experience is intended to be intimate, so group sizes are limited to 12 Guests.

About mid-way through the experience, the tour will diverge on its way to the "Boma," which is a covered platform area that overlooks the savanna. The beautiful viewing area is also the setting for dinner, which consists of African-inspired small plates (served in tins called "tiffins") with regional beers and wines. Don't be surprised if you catch yourself saying, "Look, Simba. Everything the light touches is our kingdom."

I hope your trip is magical, Becky! See ya' real soon, or as they say in Swahili, tutaonana!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
