How long after a new U.S. President is chosen will the Hall of Presidents in the MK create a replica of him or her for guests to see at that attraction?

I just spent a great day at the first ever World Science Festival in New York City. I attended a family-friendly seminar called "The Science of Disney Imagineering." There were amazingly cool demonstrations of the technology behind roller coasters, fireworks, sound effects, and even animal conservation. My girls all want to grow up to be Imagineers now! But I digress ...

I took this opportunity to ask the Imagineers your great question. The answer is, it takes about a year after the election to get a new audioanimatronic leader into the Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom. There are many steps involved including several levels of models as well as an interview with the actual President. So the voice you hear in the attraction will be the President's real voice.

I also learned that all the Presidents in the attraction currently were developed by an Imagineer who originally worked with Walt Disney and is now 90 years old. He will be training an apprentice this year who can take over the trade from him. I can't wait to see the results!
