How long does it take to get between downtown Disney and MK? Unfortunately the days we are planning to be at Magic Kingdom we cannot get fastpass lunch for Be Our Guest, but I can on the day we are to be at DTD. Will I be wasting too much time?

Hi, Shannon!  Personally, I would never spend that much time traveling around in the middle of a theme park day if there is a way to avoid it.  You see, there is not a direct route from the Magic Kingdom to Downtown Disney, so you would have to use one of the Resorts as a transfer point. Even using a Resort close to Downtown Disney, I don't think it could be done in less than 40 to 45 minutes each way.  I do have another suggestion for you, though.  Don't stress too much about the FastPass+ selection being the only way to eat at Be Our Guest for the Quick-Service lunch.  My family and I have dined there several times without FastPass+.  What works for us is to either go just as it is opening or about thirty minutes before lunch ends, and we have been able to get in without too much wait.  While you are waiting, be sure to listen to the suits of armor talking and take in the amazing architecture of the building.  You will not be bored. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
