How long should we allow for travel using Disney Transportation between parks? I want to spend most of our first day at Magic Kingdom, but have went ahead and reserved Fast Passes in Epcot that start at 5:15 pm. When do we need to leave Magic Kingdom?

    Bethany:

Travel between the theme parks at Disney World varies on the parks. My favorite "time calculator" online is the Transportation Wizard at www.ourlaughingplace.com. I'd recommend keeping it bookmarked for plugging in your parks to get times based on your mode of transportation: car, bus, or boat.

As for moving from Magic Kingdom to Epcot, you'll want to take the monorail. I usually like to give myself about 30 minutes for the transfer, remembering that you will have to change trains at the Ticket & Transportation Center. If you're at the back of the Magic Kingdom, you'll need to add in some additional time--at least 15 minutes--to get to the monorail.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
