    Wendy from MA Asked

how long should I allow for travel between the parks if my family is staying at the Disney Beach Club Resort?

    Hi Wendy,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  You are going to love staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, there is so much to see and do!

Planning for travel time can be tricky, however your Disney Resort Hotel is within walking distance to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios which will cut down on travel time. It takes around 15 minutes to walk to Epcot via the Intrenational Gateway, the distance is roughly 0.7 miles.  Walking time to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is around 20 minutes and the distance is roughly 1.2 miles.  If you would like, the other option is taking a boat, however in my experience travel times will be significantly longer, anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

In order to travel to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Park you will need to take a bus, which will take a little longer, but is still very convenient.  The bus stop is located at the front of Disney’s Beach Club Resort, just to the left once you exit the Resort Hotel.  Travel time once you board the bus can take anywhere from 10-25 minutes, depending on traffic, however it always varies.  You will also need to take into account walking to and from the buses as well as the wait time for the bus.  I like to leave between an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half before I need to arrive at the Theme Park, to leave enough time.

To travel from Theme Park to Theme Park, there are buses at the front of each Theme Park, follow the clearly marked signs.  Depending on how long the bus takes to arrive, travel time can vary anywhere from 25 minutes to around an hour.

I hope you enjoy Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Wendy.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help.
