How long should we allocate for transporation to the Magic Kingdom from the moderate resorts? Do any of them have shorter trips than others? We will be traveling the first week of March 2010. (our first trip!)

    Rebecca:

Bus transportation from each of the Moderate Resorts to the Magic Kingdom varies a little:

    • Caribbean Beach Resort: 30 minutes
    • Coronado Springs: 25 minutes
    • Port Orleans Riverside: 25 minutes
    • Port Orleans French Quarter: 20 minutes

I just got back from a trip where I stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter.  What gives it a leg up over even its sister property, Riverside, is that it has only one bus stop and has its own bus to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  All three of the others have multiple bus stops at their resorts, adding about 10 to 15 minutes or more to your travel time, depending on which bus stop you choose.  The flip side was that our bus from the French Quarter to the Animal Kingdom also serviced Riverside and the total trip took almost 50 minutes after the three additional stops at POR.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
