How long ahead of your trip would you start packing

    Hi, Michael!

As tempting as it is to start packing the moment your magical vacation is booked, you certainly do not have to rush to get those bags packed.

What I do start to "pack" as soon as my vacation is planned would be all my travel documents. I am a crazy planner, so I start a folder for each vacation. In it I keep any notes I make during booking, travel confirmations, flight details, reservation numbers, tickets, etc. so everything is conveniently in one place. I keep the folder updated, then slip it into my carry-on bag so I have any information I might need during my travels.

As far as packing your luggage, I suggest waiting until about 5 days prior. Keep an eye on the weather so you can pack accordingly. Watch for any major temperature changes or rain so you can pack hoodies, ponchos, swim suits, or umbrellas. Resist the temptation to over-pack. Most locations will be resort casual, so shorts/jeans/hoodies/Tshirts will work just about anywhere. Make sure to pack comfy shoes in preparation for lots of walking.

You will also want to leave a bit of space in your luggage so you can easily bring home any souvenirs or goodies you pick-up along the way. You want to make sure your latest Mickey treasure can travel home safely!

Wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
