I live in Orlando and my grandparents are coming to visit me. They love Disney and plan on spending several days at the parks. They both have lots of energy, but get tired walking . Do all the parks have motorized wheelchairs? And how much do they cost?

Hi Tracy! What a wonderful trip down to Orlando your grandparents are planning. I hope they pick a nice cool month for the visit so their energy continues to be never ending!

The parks at Walt Disney World are large and many miles can be walked while navigating them during your vacation.  Each park will have motorized wheel chairs (ECV's) available to rent on a first come basis. The cost is $50 a day with a refundable $20 deposit or a $100 refundable deposit if renting at Downtown Disney. You must be 18 years of age to rent and the vehicles are built for single riders only. To get your refund returned you must drop the ECV back where you rented it in the park.

The park locations for rentals is as follows:
Magic Kingdom: Stroller Shop to the right as you enter
Epcot: east side of the entrance plaza (left) and also at the International Gateway entrance
    Hollywood Studios: Oscar's Shop
    Animal Kingdom: Garden Gate Gifts

Be sure and pick up a Guide for disabilities at the Guest Relations windows in each park to make their trip a little easier when touring these great Disney parks!

If your grandparents wish to have an ECV continually during their stay including at their resort hotel if they are staying on property they can check with one of the outside companies for rental. They will deliver to the resort hotels. The one company my family has used in the past is Walker Mobility but there are many others if you choose to compare pricing and equipment. Hope this info will help your grandparents have a magical time!
