Hello, We live in Los Angeles. We are visiting Orlando for the first time and we are wondering if we should go to the Magic Kingdom, since we have already been to Disneyland many times. We definately want to go to Epcot and the Animal Kingdom.

    Hello Renee,

Having been to Disneyland many times myself, I can really compare Disneyland and Walt Disney World.  To start....when you think of this scale: all of Disneyland can fit into the parking lot at the Magic Kingdom in WDW, you will realize how large of an area Disney World actually spans!

On to your question, I would definitely visit "Magic Kingdom" here at WDW as it does differ quite a bit from "Disneyland Park".  You have to experience Cinderella's Castle (which is soooo much larger than Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland park) as well as "Mickey's PhilharMagic" 3-D experience located in Fantasyland which is not in Disneyland park either (this is one of my all time favorites here!).  I suggest that you visit Magic Kingdom just like I would suggest that anyone definitely visit the Disneyland Park (even if they have seen Magic Kingdom many times) the layout is different as well as some attractions and shows.  I just recently enjoyed the Indiana Jones attraction, Alice in Wonderland attraction, Critter Country and the amazing Princess Fantasy Faire, none of which can be found in WDW.  The "Pirates of The Caribbean" is very different in Disneyland compared to the same attraction in WDW, very fun to see the same attraction done in different ways and the Walt Disney World Railroad Train is also quite different...I could go on and on!

I would also spend a little time in Disney's Hollywood Studios, as there are some similar parts you will recognize from "Disney's California Adventure Park", but again there are many differences and shows that you have not yet experienced (here they have the Indiana Jones show, the Voyage of The Little Mermaid theatrical experience and the Fantasmic show is also quite different, again I could go on and on!).  I would definitely see everything you can at a comfortable pace...remember,  there is always next time to see what you missed this time!

    Have a magical day!
