    Donna from South Australia Asked

Hi, I live in Aust and we are planning a holiday to Disneyland May 2017 for my Father in Laws 60th bday. As weve never been just wanting some tips, tricks, must sees etc. Thanks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Donna. I'm excited to hear you'll be celebrating your father-in-law's birthday with a first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.

"Planning Your Disneyland Resort Visit" page on the Disneyland website is a great place to start for planning some fun-filled days at the parks. You'll find some useful information and tips for lodging, dining, services available to Guests, and even a link to offers & discounts when available.

For some extra birthday Pixie Dust, stop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park for a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button for your father-in-law. The rest of your party can also pick up buttons with sayings like "First Visit" and "I'm Celebrating".

Are you in search of a place to dine for a special birthday feast? Our family enjoys dining at the Napa Rose Restaurant inside Grand Californian Hotel and Spa for celebratory meals. Another great option is the Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure. Both are wonderful ways to unwind and take a break from the parks.

While at Disneyland Resort, don't miss "Frozen - Live at the Hyperion". It's a delightful musical production of the animated movie. My daughter and I recently checked out this show and absolutely loved it! Other favorite can't-miss attractions and entertainment include Radiator Springs Racers, World of Color, Soarin' Around the World at Disney California Adventure; Indiana Jones Adventure, Hyperspace Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, and "Paint the Night" parade at Disneyland Park.

I hope this information is helpful in getting you started on your vacation planning, Donna. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    Have a magical day,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
