Our littlest do not have passports, we are on the 4 day out of Galveston on the Disney Wonder. Do they need passports for this short trip?

Welcome aboard, Deborah! I see you're from Texas. I must say, being from up north in Ohio, I'm a bit jealous that you're so much closer to Disney's cruise port in Galveston! If we lived there, we'd be sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew all the time!

Galveston is a great port from which to sail, especially for you Texans, as it offers great adventures to the Western Caribbean! Plus, the Disney Wonder is one of my favorite of Disney's pixie-dusted ships, so I just know you're in for a magical cruise!

Fortunately for you, guests sailing on closed loop cruises that depart and return to U.S. ports, like your round-trip sailing from Galveston, going to the Caribbean and back, do not need Passports. However, if you have the time to get them, it does add an extra level of protection in the unlikely event that you'd encounter an emergency or illness and have to return home from a foreign port of call by air. We've always sailed with passports for our kids, just for that extra security. However, check out the Passports and Cruise Documentation page of Disney Cruise Line's website. As you'll see, guests not using passports on permissible sailings will instead need to provide both an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate (not hospital issued), and a valid government-issued ID (like driver's license). Younger children without a driver's license who are traveling with their parents simply need their state-issued birth certificate. Please review the details on that page carefully so that you are well prepared for your adventure at sea, Deborah!

Have fun planning and please stop back if we can help with anything else before you head out to sea!
