    Lisa from WA Asked

We are still a little ways out from our visit, and I see I can link our tickets now or later. My question is how secure are the linked tickets in the app? It would be terrible to show up and have had the tickets stolen electronically unbeknownst to us.

    Hiya, Lisa!

Your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort may not be for a while. But that just means you’ll have more days to use your visit as a happy thought to help you fly like Peter Pan through the ups and downs of the time until then. I’m really glad to see you are already planning on making use of the Disneyland app to enhance your park visit. It’s a great resource for park information, dining reservations, and Disney MaxPass. Be sure to download the companion application: Play Disney Parks. It's a great resource for bringing even more magic to your visit.

As you know, you can already scan your purchased Disneyland Resort tickets into the Disneyland app. Then the app will be ready to use those tickets from any mobile device logged into the same account. That includes using the tickets in the app to gain entrance to the parks and to use and manage Disney FASTPASS. If you are concerned about another user accessing your account without permission, even if it is not a common occurrence, there are a few safeguards you may employ. First of all, I recommend securing your Disneyland account with a password that is difficult to guess. If your tickets were delivered to you electronically through your email account, I recommend securing your email account as well. These preventative measures are comparable to steps you might take to secure physical tickets as well. Finally, when you arrive at the Disneyland Resort, make sure you take your physical tickets, or copies of your Disney eTickets, along with your original form of payment and government-issued photo ID. Should there be any question about the tickets being assigned to you, these items will be useful in verifying your identity and association with the purchased tickets. Generally, I feel confident that you won’t have much to worry about. In the past, I have held unused tickets in my Disneyland account for months without concern or issue in using then when the time comes. But, just in case, you’ll be prepared and able to enjoy the magic of the Disneyland Resort with peace of mind.

I hope you have a magical journey to the Happiest Place on Earth, Lisa. Please stop by again with any additional questions you may have.
