2 of my little kids are right on the height requirement. Can they get measured somewhere and get their hands stamped with their heights just so that they don't have to get measured at each ride?

Hi, Becca! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question.

I was in your shoes the last time we visited the Disneyland Resort with my daughter who had recently hit the 40" mark. At each attraction with a height restriction, there are usually a few places where the child will be measured. There is always a place to measure right at the entrance of the queue, but a Cast Member may measure again later in the queue or right before you board the attraction vehicle. The child has to pass each of these measurement checks in order to ride.

There are not any hand stamps that designate if a child is a certain height. Rather, they will be measured each and every time they enter an attraction with a height restriction for safety purposes. It's important to practice with your kids how to stand up straight to be measured and that the goal is to "bump" your head on the measuring guides. Some kids may think they have to duck under the measuring guide which would result in an inaccurate measurement.

Also, keep in mind that there are lots of attractions without height restrictions at the Disneyland Resort. So if your child isn't tall enough for a certain attraction during this visit, there is still plenty to see and do! You can also use Rider Switch so part of the group can wait with a child while another part of the group rides the attraction. Then the waiting party can ride the attraction with a shorter wait after the first group has finished.

I hope you and your family have a magnificent time at the Disneyland Resort. Please stop by again if you have any further questions!
