Is there a list of what is considered a snack on the Disney Dining Plan? Thank you!

Hi, Julie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for bringing your question to us. The Disney Dining Plan is an excellent addition to your Disney Resort Vacation Package. It is also a convenient addition, as you can now use your My Disney Experience mobile app to access your dining plan entitlements when placing a Mobile Order!

While there is not an official list of every item found across Walt Disney World Resort that can be purchased with your snack entitlements, I have a tip for an easy way to spot these items - look for the purple and white Disney Dining Plan logo. You will see that logo on menu boards and item labels at Quick Service dining locations, theme park and resort merchandise locations, and snack cart locations. Generally, most snack credit-eligible items cost $5 or less. This usually includes any single-serving item that is not an entree, any item listed as a "Side" at a Quick Service dining location, any single-serving non-alcoholic beverage, small prepackaged food items such as cookies, and ice-cream novelties (hurray for Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars!) or creations that are made of up to two scoops of ice cream. Please note that the snack credit-eligible beverages will come with a regular cup, not a souvenir one.

While $5 is generally the target limit, there are some higher-priced items that make the cut, such as my favorite macchiato and frappucino drinks at the various Starbucks locations. If you visit during one of the many Epcot festivals, such as the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, then most food and nonalcoholic drinks items can be purchased with snack credits. Some of these are $8 or more, making them a huge value for the dining plan! Speaking of value, I always try to save my meal entitlements for lunch and dinner and use our snack credits during breakfast at our resort. You will find lots of snack items at your resort's Quick Service dining location to make a great meal - oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, pastries, etc.

Since item eligibility may change at any time, my best advice for you is to look for the logo and, if you think something may actually be eligible but no logo is attached, simply ask! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
