Can you link Disney gift cards to magic bands?

Hi Carla! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Are you SO excited for your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days?! You should be. There is a lot of fun waiting for you!

At this time, you cannot link Disney gift cards directly to MagicBand purchases, but you can pay down the balance of your purchases on your hotel account with Disney gift cards. Simply link a credit or debit card to your MagicBand, use your MagicBand for purchases in the theme parks, then visit the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel to pay the balance with your gift cards.

Keep in mind that each of the Disney Resort hotels has a limit on your account and once that limit is reached, the charge automatically goes to your credit or debit card. Ask upon arrival what that limit is, then make sure not to hit it before paying off your balance in order to avoid the credit or debit charge. I recommend downloading the complimentary My Disney Experience mobile app to keep up with your balance more easily.

I hope you have the BEST vacation ever, Carla! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
