    Mary from OH Asked

How likely is it that free dining will be offered at the end of October 2016? We are starting to plan our vacation. Thank you. Also best week to go in October?

    Hi Mary,

I always love hearing from you!  Thanks so much for stopping by again with another question for us!

Without a doubt, the free Disney Dining Plan offer is my favorite of all the Special Offers and it's easy to understand why it is so wildly popular each time it's announced.  I wish I could say for sure whether or not it will again be offered in October 2016, but sadly I don't have any insider information to share.  We do have a bit of a crystal ball, though, which can help predict when we might know more.  If you visit the unofficial site www.mousesavers.com and search for "historical Walt Disney World discounts," you can find lots of detailed information about past offers, including dates they were announced and dates of the offers themselves.  Around those anticipated release dates, just keep an eye on that Special Offers page and on the Disney Parks Blog for updates (or visit us here again to ask) so you're ready to make (or modify) your reservation.

The entire month of October really is a great bet, not only for the possibility of a free Disney Dining Plan offer, but also just as a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World.  I've visited almost every week between the end of September and end of October and my favorite times in terms of lower crowds, nice weather and awesome special events have been the two weeks before Halloween.

Until then, I'll be wishing on a star for free dining in 2016 for you!  I hope that helps, but please write back again if we can help answer any other questions.
