Leaving in the morning for long weekend at Disney. I want to do breakfast at Chef Mickey's but there are no reservations available. Do you have to have reservations?? What's the chances we can get a table if we just show up? (on Sunday morning around 8)

Hi Angela! I wish I were leaving for a long weekend at Disney too -- how fun! Chef Mickey's is a very popular restaurant, and reservations are highly recommended to dine there. If you're flexible about your dining time, you may still be able to make a reservation. The new dining reservation system allows you to search for "Breakfast" in addition to searching for certain times. i just checked for Sunday morning "Breakfast" at Chef Mickey's and was able to find available tables for later in the morning, around 11 a.m.. If you prefer to eat earlier, try calling the dining line from your resort room -- guests do sometimes cancel their early breakfast reservations, and you may find some times open up the day before.  If you're not able to make a reservation, you could try just walking up to the restaurant to see if they could work you in. Some guests may oversleep or fail to show up for their reservation. I think your chances of getting a table as a walk up would be best if you try at a non-peak time, such as 7 a.m. or late morning.  If Chef Mickey's is unable to accommodate you, you could have breakfast at The Wave or the Contempo Cafe, both of which are also in the Contemporary. Sending you pixie dust for a table at Chef Mickey's! Have a fun weekend!
