Leaving late on our departure day, will the hotel hold our luggage until we leave the park and get into our return bus/transportation to the airport? And if so how does this work?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer (what a great name)! We’re so happy to see you here with your great question!

I am a recently converted fan of the late departure on the last day of my Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I tried it out once and now I choose this option as much as possible because it allows me to get the most out of my last day and really squeeze the last bits of Pixie Dust out of my vacation! I am happy that you and your family are looking to also make the most of your last day by enjoying a Disney Theme Park! In the past, what I have done is left my luggage at Bell Services the morning before heading off to play. A Cast Member will tag your luggage and give you a ticket with your luggage number on it, they will recommend that you arrive to collect your stored luggage at least 15 minutes prior to your Disney’s Magical Express departure time.

Another option is the Resort Airline Check-In. If your Airline and Disney Resort hotel participate in this service, you can present yourself with a valid government-issued I.D. for domestic travel or a valid passport for international travel no later than 4 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure. Here, you can print your boarding passes, and check your bags! Simply head to security once you arrive at the airport! Currently, the following airlines participate in this service (subject to change):

    Alaska Airlines
    American Airlines
Delta Air Lines (U.S. Domestic Flights Only)
    JetBlue Airways
    Southwest Airlines
    United Airlines

I hope this answers your question and that you have a magical day! See you again real soon,
