Hi... I am leaving for Disney for my first time next weekend. I am traveling with my 3 boys (7, 5 and 4 months) also my parents. What kind of rides can I ride with them (especially my baby) and are there certain parks that are better than others for kids?

Hi Jennifer! Just days before you venture to Florida for a great Walt Disney World vacation! I am sure the family is beyond excited.

Each park offers great attractions for all ages and interests. Some of them will have height requirements and those are generally the roller coaster type or thrill rides. There are many things for the younger children to enjoy and most of those have easy to access cars or boats or simply a theater set-up. You will be able to hold your youngest on most of these without any issue. Many moms prefer to use a sling but this must not interfere with any type of lap bar the vehicle might use. During theater productions it is often a good idea to sit near an exit in case the little one decides he doesn't want to be there. Also be aware that some attractions are in the dark or partial dark and some might have loud noises. You can always check with the cast member on duty at each one to get a good description to decide if it is a line you wish to wait in with the family.

The Magic Kingdom should be your primary park for this age. It is really the magic of the entire property and you will likely want to spend at least two days visiting everything it offers including parades and fireworks and other entertainment.  My second park choice is the Animal Kingdom. Most children love animals and between the Safari ride and Rafiki's Planet Watch where you take the train to see and pet sheep and goats this park is a hit. Don't miss the great Lion King show while you are there too. Epcot and Hollywood Studios both have attractions geared for the younger set. My grandson actually finds Epcot to be his favorite park now and he is seven. You can find good descriptions about each park and attractions at the Disney website which might help you make a plan. I don't have the room here to review each one but if you have any specific questions please let me know and I will quickly get back to you! Have a magical trip!
