leaving in 23 days! Wondering where the best character meal would be to celebrate a 3 year olds birthday?

Any of the Disney character dining experiences would be great for a three year old. The best way to choose would be to think about what the child's character preferences are. If you have princess fan, then try for the Princess Storybook meal at the Akershus in Norway, if you have a Winnie the Pooh fan go to the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, if your child loves Playhouse Disney, then go to the Play 'n Dine breakfast at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If there is no particular preference in your family, then the really classic birthday meal would be at Chef Mickey's. You can the big Disney characters here: Mickey, Minnie and the gang. The atmosphere is very festive. There are always celebration songs and cheers in the restaurant.

Wherever you end up eating, be sure to tell Disney Dining when you make your plans and then remind your server when you're seated. While nothing is guaranteed, very often a birthday celebrant will receive a free cupcake or other special treat.

One word of advice ... I would pick up that phone and call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE TODAY. Disney guests can make dining reservations 180 days in advance. The character dining experiences tend to fill up quickly. My guess is that you will have limited choices available at this point, so you'll want to pounce on whatever you can get as soon as possible.
