Hi! Leaving in 12 days for DW! I am going with my bf & his family which includes his 2 nieces (girls 7 & 5). Any suggestions/tips on how to entertain them in line? Apparently, last yr they didn't ride anything b/c of the lines. Want them to have fu

    Hi Angela,

Your trip is so close now, I bet you're all so excited!

Instead of knowing how to keep the girls entertained whilst waiting in line what I suggest you do is learn how to tour the parks with the shortest waits possible. The most important thing that you need to do is get to the park at opening, you can get so many rides done in the first hour it makes the early wake up worth it. Also try and avoid visiting a park with extra magic hours scheduled, you can see which days these occur at www.disneyworld.com.  Once you're at the park have a rough touring plan, for example if you visit Magic Kingdom you should head straight for Fantasyland as this is where a lot of the rides are. The order I like to ride the attractions is - Dumbo, Peter Pan, Snow White, Pooh and then any others you'd like to ride. We have found in the past that we can ride every Fantasyland attraction in about an hour and then we head off somewhere else. Also make sure you make good use of the Fast Pass system, this is a free service that gives you an allocated return time to ride select attractions with little to no wait, there is a great video explaining how it works in our video section which can be found on the right hand side of this page.

If you do find yourself in some lines then I would suggest you pack some small snacks, maybe Top Trumps, a small colouring pad or how about one of those mini magic boards where you can draw pictures and then clear the screen. You can also play some games like I Spy or the Alphabet game, you can even make this Disney themed where you take it in turns naming a Disney character for each letter of the alphabet. The possibilities are endless, you could even make a game out of making up a game :-)

I hope that helps and you have a fantastic trip,
