Hi, we leave Wed. for my son's 1st trip to WDW! He is 9 & just won his 1st dirt bike race, he won a medal & $100. I want to do something special to celebrate on this trip, any ideas?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Congratulations to your son for such a great accomplishment!  My first thought is that you could surprise him with a celebratory cake if you have plans for dining at a table service restaurant.  To order a speciality cake, you can call 407-827-2253.  And if you'd really like to splurge, you could order an in-room celebration through Disney Floral and Gifts.  If you click here, you can see some of the offerings and information on ordering the celebrations.

Another option (and free!) is to get a celebration button from Guest Relations at any of the parks; it will read "I'm Celebrating ..... (fill in the blank)" and let the cast members know about his triumph and even make the notations in your dining reservations.  And at Downtown Disney, your son could make his own shirt to mark his achievement at the Disney Design-A-Tee shop.

And if your son is anything like mine, they love the Lego Store at DowntownDisney; maybe he could pick out a special set as a super-special souvenir!

I hope this helps to give you some ideas, and thank you for visiting the Moms Panel.  If we can help again, please let us know!  Have a wonderful trip this week!!
