We leave for WDW in just a few days and have all of our FP+ reservations in order. What will happen if there is inclement weather during one of our reservation times and the attraction is temporarily closed?

    Hi Jennifer,

You must be so excited with your trip just around the corner!  I am usually so excited those few nights before my own vacations that I often "dream in Disney".

On my recent vacation one of the attractions in which my family had FastPass+ selections for was temporarily unavailable.  I found out that there is a contingency plan for such an occurrence.  If you find yourself in a similar situation, simply go to the Cast Member stationed at the entrance of the FastPass+ queue or see a Cast Member at any one of the FastPass+ kiosks to find out your options.  When our attraction was offline we had the choice of keeping our FastPass+ selection for that attraction and using it later at any time during the remainder of the day when the attraction re-opened, or we had a choice of going to several other FastPass+ enabled attractions at that time. Since my family wanted to keep the FastPass+ selection for the same attraction, we simply came back later that evening and rode it then.  I can tell you I was a bit skeptical about everything working out because our FastPass+ selection time was originally 2:30 p.m. but we entered the FastPass+ queue at 9:00 p.m.  However I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the system worked.

Since I have my email accessible on my cell phone, I was able to receive an email telling me that the attraction in which we had an upcoming FastPass+ selection was temporarily unavailable.  It was great being notified of our options before we walked over to the attraction!  If you have access to email on your mobile device, it might be worthwhile for you to check it periodically while you are in the parks.

    Have a MAGICAL vacation!
