We leave for WDW in 10 days, we are staying at Boardwalk Inn, we have all of our dinner reservations, including a couple of character dinning. I have bought my kids the starter kits for the trading pins... is there anything I am missing?

    Hi Misty,

It sounds like you have done a perfect job planning your family's upcoming Disney World trip.

Usually when I am within my "single digit countdown", I like to start organizing. Make sure you  have a folder or some type of envelope with all your travel documents. Plane tickets, reservation and resort confirmation numbers, Magical Express vouchers, any important phone numbers you may need. Make sure you have made your list for home, for example did you stop your newspaper delivery, arrange for a friend to grab your mail, are your pets taken care of and your children's school notified of their absences. I also like to call and re-confirm all my reservation numbers to make sure everything is still correct. If you would like, you can also check-in online up to ten days before your arrival at a Disney World resort. Simply retrieve your reservation online using your resort confirmation number. Checking in prior to your arrival will allow you to move to the seperate line once at the resort and minimize your wait time and check in procedures.

Start packing your bags. Be sure to have plenty of things to keep the kids entertained on the plane as well as snacks. If you have not done so, I like to visit my local dollar store for small treats for the kids like stickers, puzzles or coloring books. This is also a great place to get some disposable rain ponchos and portable fans to deal with the Florida weather. Be sure you have plenty of batteries and tapes for your camera and camcorder. If the kids are going to collect autographs, they could make their own autograph book and decorate it to pass the last few days.

Last but most importantly, just remember to relax and have a great time!
