Hello! We leave Nov. 7 for our family's FIRST trip to Disney World! We are staying at our timeshare property just off the Disney grounds and I'm a little anxious about driving to and parking at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom - how does it work?

    Hi Stephanie!!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation!!

Don't be anxious about driving and parking at the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Walt Disney World has wonderfully marked road signs and is very easy to navigate around!!!

For the Magic Kingdom, you will need to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center.  You cannot actually park at the Magic Kingdom.  Once at the Transportation and Ticket Center you will have to either take the Monorail or the Ferryboat over to the Magic Kingdom.  You will need to do the same to return back to the Transportation and Ticket Center to get your vehicle after you have enjoyed your day in the Magic Kingdom.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is a little more simple to navigate and understand.  The biggest thing I can tell you is to stay to the right when approaching the theme park.  Staying to the right will lead you to the parking booths.  If you stay to the left you will miss the parking booths and actually approach Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas.  Once in the parking lot, it is a very short walk or tram ride to the front gate of the Animal Kingdom.

It is $14 per day to park at the theme parks.  If you drive to a different theme park in the same day be sure to keep your parking ticket so you do not have to pay for parking at the other theme park(s).

Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help answer!!

    Have a magical trip!!
