Hello! I leave on my first cruise with Disney in 2 weeks! I'm so excited. My question is, I have a 4 year old and I noticed all the port activities I would like to do as a family you need to be five or older. Will they turn my 4 year old away? Thank you

    Hi, Melanie!

Congratulations on your Disney Cruise which sails very, very soon! You have every right to be excited. A Disney Cruise Line (DCL) vacation is an extra special voyage for your family, and you are going to love every minute of it.

For Port Adventures, the tour operators work very closely with Disney's crew members to make sure that they give an appropriate age guideline according to what the guest will experience.  Sometimes, it's a safety issue, and the age restrictions (or other factors such as height or weight) can not be comprised. However, sometimes the ages are given as a suggestion based on past experiences.  For instance, many young children have difficulty keeping up with walking tours and tire easily. Therefore, I would contact the DCL travel specialists at 800-951-3532 and ask your specific questions about particular Port Adventures.  I'm sure they will be able to meet your needs and provide the information you require to book your shore excursions.

Thanks for dropping by the Disney Moms Panel, and I hope you have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
