We leave in 13 days!! What are some good snacks to take into the parks? Also what would be some cheap snacks that I could buy inside the parks?

    Hi Jessica,

I have two very picky eaters in my house, who also get super cranky when they are hungry.  As a result, I've carried just about every conceivable snack into the parks with us.  I like to bring in a soft, small portable cooler.  (I just got a super cute one that's pink and a backpack!)  Some of my kids favorite snacks include PB&J sandwiches, pretzels, cheese sticks, (I freeze juice boxes and/or water bottles to keep everything cold), yogurt, granola bars (not the healthy ones, the ones that taste good!) fruit roll ups and fresh fruit.  I also stash a bag or two of skittles and/or m&ms to use as "incentives" for good behavior while waiting on long lines.  (Notice, I didn't say "bribes"!)

For snacks inside the parks, we love hot pretzels (they are huge and can easily be shared).  Another trick I have is to buy Disney popcorn once at the beginning of our trip in the souvenir container (it's hard plastic and has a lid).  I then use that container and make our own microwave popcorn at our DVC villa.  (If you don't have access to a microwave, you could simply fill it with any bagged pre-popped corn).  We've saved tons of money on concessions inside the parks by bringing our own food.  My children couldn't care less if we buy food or if they eat what I bring.  I much rather save the money for a fabulous dinner at one of Disney's great table service restaurants!

    Have a great trip!
