How late can you cancel a vacation reservation at WDW?

    Hi Douglas,

Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let me try to help you out.

It's unfortunate that you are looking at canceling your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. A Magic Your Way Vacation Package requires only a $200 deposit, and its balance due 30 days before arrival. It must be cancelled up to 30 days before arrival in order to avoid any fees, and you will receive a full refund. If you must cancel between 2 days and 30 days before arrival, you will be subject to a $200 fee. One day before arrival or not showing up makes the package not refundable.

Room only reservations have different cancellation terms. Reservations require a deposit equivalent of the first night rate. Full payment is due at time of Check-In. If you cancel less than 5 days before arrival, the cancellation fee will be the first night rate.

Some other fees such as insurance and airfare are not refundable, and so are Theme Park Tickets purchased separately. Finally, if you do not book directly with the Walt Disney Travel Company, you may be subject to the terms and cancellation policies of the agency you booked with.

One last tip: if you've already made a deposit you may want to contact a vacation planning specialist at (407) 939-1936 or your travel agent and look at the possibility to move your vacation to a different date. If not, we hope to see you real soon.
