How late can you add an option to your vacation package? My two main questions are adding one more day for park tickets as well as adding on the water park option

    Gina,

Some items, like the dining plans, need to be added before you arrive at WDW, but you can usually (assuming you have a standard Magic Your Way ticket) add days and options to your park tickets even as late as the last day of your vacation.  Simply visit guest relations at one of the parks, or the concierge desk/reception at any Disney resort, and you should be able to pay for any additional ticket option you need (e.g., park-hopper, more days, water-parks fun and more).

If you have doubts about your ticket option needs, I think it's a great idea to wait until you arrive and see what you find you truly need to add (if anything).  If you need to add, it typically costs the same (in advance vs. during your vacation) and you might save some $ by avoiding a pre-purchase of an option you don't end up needing.

While on the topic of tickets, two other common ticket FAQs worth mentioning:
    - You can't use two days of tickets in one day to enter two different parks.  If you want to "park-hop", you need to purchase the park-hopper option
    - The price to add options to your tickets does not change after you have used a few days of your ticket.  For example: If you have a 10-day ticket, the cost to add the "no-expiration" option to your ticket is the same on the first day of your vacation as it would be after using 5 days of your ticket.

Hope that helps.  Please write back if you need clarification, or have other questions.
