the last week of august this year as far as crowds? I've always heard quiet, but 4 years ago it seemed like a lot of out of the US guests, very crowded. also, has the new rope drop changed getting in the park for breakfast before park opening?thanks

    Hi Melissa,

I love traveling to Walt Disney World during the last week in August. It generally is quieter than the rest of the summer as most schools are back in session. However, depending on when Labor Day is, it can be busier some years than others.

Even during the quiet times, I still recommend making FastPass+ reservations as well as advance dining reservations. This helps make waiting easier especially in the August humidity. It is also a great time to take advantage of the water parks and pools. Typhoon Lagoon will have a new family ride that looks fabulous!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
