Last visited 20 yrs ago on honeymoon (9/98). Want to bring our boys, 6 & 10. We don't own/use smart phones, & aren't planning to. Is it still possible to have a good trip without one? Some of the line update apps, etc, seem helpful.

    Hi Christine,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel and bringing us your question. Your last visit to Walt Disney World was almost around the same time my wife and I first visited there together. It was such a fun vacation for us and it still seems like just yesterday. So let me start with welcome back!

As a self-professed gadget geek, I must say I love using the My Disney Experience app on my mobile phone to manage my FastPass+ selections and dining reservations, check attraction wait times, view park maps, and see my PhotoPass photos. That said, I do very much believe you can have a fun-packed trip without needing to rely on a mobile device.

As you can imagine, Walt Disney World has added a lot of magic in 20 years. You can order Free Disney Parks Vacation Planning Videos to get familiar with all that’s new and exciting. You’ll want to take advantage of the FastPass+ service to select times for attractions, shows and Character Greetings. No need to check the wait time on an attraction when you have a reservation to enjoy it. Your Guide Map and your Times Guide will help you find your way around every park to enjoy your favorite experiences.

My last tip for someone returning after a long time away is this: gives yourselves plenty of time to relax and meander and explore and take it all in. Magic Kingdom Park has added a lot of magic since your last visit, and you have so much fun ahead of you!

I know Mickey can't wait to see his old pals and meet his new ones!
